Canyon Ferry Town to Get Oil Streets

Heavy rains this summer likely reduced damage while the ISDS may still set a record unless severe fire conditions return this fall. Lookouts closed patrol planes reduced and weather forecasts for fire danger discontinued though a glow watch remains for dry timber signs.

High School Student Drowns in Reservoir Near Glendive
Glendive, Aug 30. Fadle Vorhels, 17, son of Mr and Mrs Pressly Vorhels, a Dawson County high school student, drowned Sunday in Festivoir reservoir near the family ranch home 12 miles southwest of here. A companion alerted the Vorhels home. the body was recovered 46 minutes later. The boy was rushed to a hospital in the new east 4m Montana community ambulance. Survivors include the parents, a brother and one sister.
