May 17 Key West Fla A Cuban aviator Domine Rosillo completed the first nonstop United States to Cuba flight over the Gulf of Mexico from the Florida East Coast railroad terminal. A prize of 2000 was offered for the feat which earlier attempts failed. Weather and equipment issues hampered the journey but Rosillo arrived in Havana at 1 o clock.
