Reunion Follows Confed Flag Return in Jacksonville
Followers of Lee and Jackson gather for the United Confederate Veterans twenty fourth annual reunion in Jacksonville Florida. A 76th Ohio battle flag captured at Ringold Gap in 1863 is returned to Ohio delegates led by Col D M Scott and Mrs T Randolph Leigh. Governor Cox sends a reception and a hopeful invitation to hold next reunion in Columbus. Various veterans and local officials welcome them as Mexico and Huerta loom in rhetoric.

Prisoner Finger Faces Death Sentence In Rowan Case
Sidney Finger was sentenced to death by Judge Harding in Rowan Superior Court for the shooting robbery and arson at Preston Lylerly's Barber junction store. The execution date was set for June 10.
