Officer Shot in Face Then Kills Negro in North Carolina
In Goldsboro on March 2 Officer AM Page of La Grange pursuing a Negro desperado located him on a Miller's Station farm. The suspect fired a 32 caliber pistol, striking the officer in the face. The officer returned fire as the Negro fled through fields toward woods, then died from his wounds. Page was taken to a hospital for surgical care.
