Debate over county chain gang and road funding opposition
The piece captures a local resident’s robust opposition to financing road projects via taxation and a county chain gang plan. He cites Monroe county politics, questions county payments, and critiques expected contracts, taxes, and road maintenance, while noting personal stance against the plan and urging skepticism of official claims. The notices following outline local property, business, and agricultural ads and a dissolved partnership suit in Union County Superior Court.
