W C Stack longtime Monroe businessman and cashier of the Bank of Union died at 4 40 am after bronchial pneumonia developed from a chill on April 5 He was 33 and survived by wife a daughter and several relatives He joined the Bank of Union in 1902 and served as cashier since 1904 Funeral services were led by Rev J E Abernethy with burial in the local cemetery The community mourns a respected banker and civic figure across causes the Bank of Union and other local banks closed in tribute
