Police report two men burglarized R. G. Selden at 705 Elmira Street stealing $40 cash a gold watch and chain. Selden fired twice as the suspects escaped with money and valuables. A Ford car was also stolen from J. W. Clark of 604 Augusta Street and description broadcast.
A tropical disturbance some 1050 miles southeast of Mobile is deemed very unlikely to enter the Gulf. Forecaster Albert Ashenberger notes past seasonal patterns favor a northward recurvature and advises there is no sign of severe weather. Official warnings report no reports from the disturbance's vicinity and classify its intensity as slight to moderate.
Special one way reduction for travel to the October 23 Auburn Tulane game announced by H C Geron L and N passenger agent. Round trip fares cut about a quarter with tickets valid for trains October 22 to October 25.
