Private C E Banks of Mobile was killed in France while serving with Company B of the 125th Infantry. He enlisted in 1917 in Detroit and was previously an apprentice with the Mobile Bar Pilots Association. He is survived by his parents four brothers and one sister and other relatives. A letter dated August 15 described him as in good health.
