Greek migrant injured during attempted escape from Niagara
An attempted escape by Greek migrant Peros Georgios Magintsis from the French steamer Niagara was halted by Special Officer Henry Oberkirk. Magintsis was injured and 75 foreigners were aboard for deportation from Houston to Havre France. The steamer docked beneath a coal tipple as officers watched and later released the vessel.

Drunken Driver Sentenced to Jail After Collision
