Two Injured in Train Automobile Collision in Oakdale
Douglas Melton and his brother Armin Melton were injured when a Crane & Company truck and a Gulf Mobile and Northern switch engine collided at Ann and Tennessee streets at 11 30 today. Douglas was taken to the Mobile Infirmary in serious condition by J R Higgins who found them at the scene.

Negro Convicted in Assault Case and Forgery Sentences

Aged Creole Woman Burned to Death in Chicago Fire
Lillie Jemison an 80 year old Creole resident of 14 North Dearborn street was burned to death when her clothing caught fire at 11 15 this morning as she sat before a grate. Inmates and Hose Company No 1 found her dead and the house was slightly damaged. She had long lived in Mobile. The fire department had four other calls by noon.
