ASK JURY TRIAL ON TWO CHARGES
Louis Reikin an auto mechanic denied a jury trial on two charges of excislement when tried in the inter criminal court today. Bond fixed at 1000 in each case, which he had been unable to make this afternoon. After the trial Reikin was re arrest ed by Deputy Sheriff Moses Instéin on the additional charge of ing worthless checks. C. E. Dyas and R. E. Diamond are the complainants in the embezzlement cases and F. A. Kuehl in the last case.

Alabama National Guard Association to elect officers Monday

Four Draw Fines Under Game Laws
Willie Stanley was fined 20 dollars and costs for hunting game out of season and without a license in inferior criminal court before Judge N. R. Clarke. County game wardens prosecuted. J. A. Desertion charge filed against Mount Vernon mother
Mrs. Cora Moore of Mount Vernon was docketed at the county jail on a juvenile court warrant charging desertion of four children. The state says she caused the children to be abandoned in Mount Vernon by removing them from a train and leaving them to roam the streets where they were cared for by Deputy Sheriff Henry A. Bootleg Whiskey Blamed in Walnut Ridge Killing
In Walnut Ridge Arkansas October 15 bootleg whiskey is blamed by officers for the killing of C C Abernathy a 60 year old barber by Curly Clarty 30 a carpenter. Clarty surrendered and is jailed. The pair were intoxicated when a quarrel led to the shooting at a livery stable Abernathy died instantly. A bottle of moonshine was found on the dead man. Clarty had bootlegging prison and hospital records in his past.

Hold Up Men Kill One Shoot Another in Chicago
