Negro Escape Recaptured At Mobile Pier
Henry Williams a black man and escapee from a county road gang was recaptured last night at Mobile and Ohio pier No 1 at the foot of Government street and jailed for escaping from hard labor. Transfer Agent D M Goleman returned to Wetumpka with Claude Jones alias Williams a second escapee from Belle Ellen coal mines. Detectives Warren and Moody received a $50 reward offered by the state.
