A cool wave from the northwest is set to lower Mobile temperatures to about 64 by morning, ending an unusually warm spell. The Mobile weather bureau confirms a first cool weather prediction of the year with widespread Alabama frost potential in the north.

Norwegian steamers in Mobile marked the one hundredth anniversary of Norwegian migration to America. The Banan from Puerto Barrios arrived with 13 000 stems of bananas while Belita and other Norwegian ships were decorated for the observance. The Banan was to sail soon.
William alias Shorty Long of Plateau arrested by marshal for possessing a still and manufacturing liquor. Tom Price and Dink Carter, both negroes, served with warrants charging violations of the national dry law. Price faces manufacturing selling and possessing liquor while Carter is charged with conspiring to violate the prohibition law.
The river packet Helen Burke arrived in Mobile from the Bee Ser district with 833 bales of cotton. It docked near the foot of St. Louis street to discharge the cargo, instead of the regular berth at See St. Francis street.
I T Quinn state conservation commissioner based in Montgomery travels from Mobile toward Bayou la Barre to investigate the oyster and shrimp industries. He will join a Chamber of Commerce meeting called by Captain John Cat, national shellfish commissioner, on shellfish conservation matters.

E L McGowin of 20 West Street Flores Claire reported to police that thieves stole his Maxwell coach last night while parked at 5 Fearnway. The case was turned over to detectives. Burglars entered Jackson's Sanitary Meat Market at the northeast corner, according to police.
R. E. Kelly was fined 50 dollars or 50 days for reckless driving after a November collision on Ann and Dauphin streets injuring Mrs. H. C. Vaughan. William, also charged, failed to appear and bond was forfeited. Other details in the appeal docket were unclear.
United Press dispatch from Clearwater Florida says officials hunted members of a liquor syndicate after authorities seized more than 430 cases of liquor valued at $30,000 near Tarpon Springs. Two liquor boats carried cargoes. one boat escaped with its load while the other was confiscated. Twenty autos and trucks fled. drivers left free as no contact with officials occurred. Authorities noted license tags and prepared evidence against the liquor ring.
Earl Nielsen injured in an early morning automobile crash at 5 30 near Canal Street. His car wrecked and he was rushed to Bondurant sanitarium for surgical attention. Hands badly mangled and other bruises reported.
Ned Lowe driver of a truck for N Hudson furniture dealer faces manslaughter charges in a recorder's court. Trial reset to October 20 due to state witnesses missing. Eight year old Leonard Williamson died after Lowe's truck struck him at Hamilton and Conti streets on Saturday afternoon. Lowe argues the accident was unavoidable.
City commission members were invited to attend the Commercial Congress in New York December 14 to 19. The mayor may be asked to address relations between Mobile and Latin American commerce. The commission also granted Mobile Paint Company a contract to paint the bandstand in Bienville Square.
