Alabama dredge Alabama begins record setting run at state docks
Work started yesterday evening at 6 o'clock on the dredge Alabama of the state docks commission. The vessel was towed to the arc at the new state docks by Harry G. Lytle and connected to the same line as the government dredge Wahalak. Two builders' representatives aboard will stay about 30 days as the Alabama makes a remarkable early run south of Three Mile Creek while Mobile receives the tow from Baltimore by the tug Joseph D. Wood.

Alvin Fouse 21 of Prichard was jailed on a charge of obtaining goods by false licenses after Sheriff Gus Dixon arrested him. Complainant Birdie Jordan says Fouse pretended to hire her to Robert Jordan for a shot and obtained goods by misrepresentation. Forest Lewis 23 was arrested by Deputy Sheriff James Nelson for malicious mischief after allegedly breaking a front door glass at Florence Miller’s home on 551 St Mich Street.
