J T Kelly of Cedar Point road filed an affidavit in inferior criminal court charging Edward Swan with kidnapping his 13 year old daughter. A warrant was issued and sheriff deputies search for Swan after he allegedly decoyed her from in front of her home Tuesday night.

Solicitor W G Rains states H A Wells arrested in Louisville and brought from Birmingham has confessed to involvement in the $18000 Goodyear payroll robbery in April. He names a prominent Gadsden man as implicated. Grand jury to investigate this afternoon in Etowah County.
John Fox representative of the Valley Association will discuss the Alabama Coosa river development on radio station WODX at 5 20 Wednesday afternoon. The Mobile Chamber of Commerce sponsors the program and Fox will meet a committee at 11 o'clock at the Chamber prior to the talk.
Wednesday broadcast list shows WODX studio programs on 7H410 kilocycles with segments from National Furniture Company Gayfers Quigsey’s and studio hours. A group of land speculators tied to Merchants National Bank oppose the Dauphin Island gulf beach project near Mobile. Bank officers and family members hold shares in Mobile Gulf Land Company, allegedly seeking to keep land near Pensacola rather than Mobile. The disclosure follows remarks by Edward J. Grove and comments by civic club members about outside influence shaping the project.
County highway engineer John R. Peavy challenged a prior press claim on bonds of 1 100 000 for a toll free Dauphin Island bridge. District Governor H T Miller backed splitting the 34th Lions district into 12 sub districts for expansion. The convention approved a plan to create a student loan fund run by the Association of Alabama Colleges and cooperate with the state health board on disease and malaria prevention. The Graf Zeppelin, held briefly by a tropical cloudburst at Pernambuco, Brazil, resumed its 4500 mile journey to the United States via Havana Cuba at 11 15 a m local time. Skies cleared quickly and preparations to cast off began after a two hour downpour delaying the start.

Albert Catledge faced 75 dollars in fines and court costs or 20 days in jail after a circuit court appearance on a reckless driving charge, appealing a 25 dollar lower court fine. Marion Reeves pled guilty to two counts of manufacturing prohibited liquor and received 102 dollars in fines or 60 days in jail. Bond forfeiture and alias writs were ordered for Roy Devlin, W B Miller, and Earl New on prohibition violations, with New also facing assault and battery charges.
A sneak thief entered a garage Tuesday night and stole a kodak hidden in a car pocket. Another burglary on St Louis street Tuesday night saw a suitcase and a kodak valued at £29 taken from a room.
In Washington on May 24 Vice President Curtis joined senators in a laughing uproar over a hoax story about a GOP pillar named Frye. The chamber roared as Curtis motioned for order and discussion followed about the joke. Representative Huth Patt of New York also paid tribute to Frye.
In Hammond Louisiana dentist Dr Sedgie L Newsom is accused of improper relations with a married woman. Five Starnes brothers admit tar and feathering him claiming he broke up their home. Details emerge of the affair and family disputes with witnesses. The brothers were released on bail after arrest.
Alphonse Capone sat in a Miami courtroom described by witnesses as a menace to public life as the hearing on charges against Police Director McCreary continued. Capone, who testified yesterday about his arrest, was expected to be recalled, while more than 500 spectators filled the room.
Secret Service seized a large lithograph press in a Brooklyn apartment at 1726 Eighty-fifth Street. Three men Pericle Mannerini Joseph Denegros and Mattio Mattera were arrested during the midnight raid as officers recovered counterfeit sheets and enough paper for up to four million more notes.

The owners are sought as police continue a two day seizure totaling 1300000 dollars amid claims the gems come from twelve robberies. Robert Nelson a broker without an office was held on 25000 bail for allegedly criminally receiving 38000 worth of gems from Louis Dawson of Hollywood Florida.

The Reece bill would create a temporary board to lease the project to private interests, not subject to Senate confirmation, while the McSwain plan sets up a permanent three member board with Senate approval.
