Attempted Robberies End in Arrest After Break-Ins
A Crichton man, Leon Malone, was arrested Tuesday during investigations into two failed robbery attempts in Mobile Alabama. Burglars tried Woolworths on Dauphin Street and Neat Cleaning Company on South Conception Street but fled without loot. Police found Malone hiding near the shop and paint on him. He was arraigned and the case reset for Friday.

Circuit court Tuesday heard details of murder and major racketeering as Rosa Gerhardt files a suit against Michael Bogario and Dan Moldoven both of Chicago. Moldoven, a former Chicago policeman, serves a federal term. Bogario has a suspended sentence. The case seeks 550 dollars plus interest on a forged auto sale to Marcus Gerhardt involving fraud and misrepresentation. The jury followed a judge’s directed charge and judgment was rendered against the defendants.

Heart Attack Fatal to A. B. Wilmer Veteran Mobile Railroad Man

Autogrash Tragedy Kills Two at Indianapolis Practice
Joe Caccia and Clarence Grover, both from Pennsylvania, were killed during practice for the upcoming 500 mile race in Indianapolis. Their car lost a tire, crashed into a wall,then burst into flames. Chicago Daily News crew of four perished when the sesqui ship Blue Streak crashed north of Glen Ellyn during a 2000 kilometer speed test.
