The funeral of Rev Charles A Evers aged 8 8 J missionary priest who died at Providence infirmary after a long illness will be held Saturday morning from his church on Mon Louis Island with mass. The body will be moved today from Roche mortuary to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where it lies in state until a 9 o'clock mass with absolution by the bishop. He will be buried in the churchyard at Mon Louis Island after a second in-state vigil. Father Evers served on Mon Louis Island and missions in Mobile and Baldwin counties and was native of Brooklyn. He had worked in Mobile for nine years with the Society of St Joseph. Bishop Thomas J Teolen praised him at mass this morning.
