Harbor cutter AB-20 arrives in Mobile harbor
The AB-20 harbor guard cutter arrives after a 2000 mile voyage from Salisbury Maryland. Built for the coast guard, she is 65 feet long with a 15 foot beam and four foot draft, driven by a Diesel engine and capable of twelve knots. She replaces the AB-8 Messenger and will be used by local customs inspectors to board ships. The AB-20, accompanied by the AB-19 for Pensacola, is part of a new coast guard type.

Fire investigation to be apresentou to Mobile city commission
A report on the inquiry into the May 9 fire that destroyed the Zilliak Schaffer Milling plant at Marys Lane and Canal Street will be heard by the Mobile city commission. Man Dies After Tree Fells in Northwestern County Woods
Albert R. McLeod, 21, of George Town, was instantly killed Saturday when a falling tree crushed his skull in the woods near the settlement. Coroner Dr. B. Hale received notice in Mobile. McLeod worked as a timber cutter for Ben Davis of Oak Grove. Interment was Sunday at Macedonian Cemetery.
