Some 500 delegates from the Association of Surgeons of the Southern Railway travel to Mobile for a three day session starting Tuesday. Dr W A Applega, president, and George Ross of Richmond arrive with the large contingent aboard a Mobile and Ohio train. The memorial address for Dr Harry T Inge will be given by Dr Ross, with carnations distributed at Magnolia Cemetery. Delegates will dedicate time to professional discussions before Thursday's excursion to Cod en for a seafood dinner at the Bove Hotel.

Liquor Seized Aboard Dimock Steamer
Fifteen quarts of Canadian Club whiskey were seized by customs officers yesterday aboard the steamer Dimock arriving from Central America with bananas. Officers Burke McCoy Smith and Oyd made the seizure, liquor found in the wheelhouse. Captain William Goldsborough is the sister of the Dimock, which had been tied up for months and is back in service on its first trip under the new charter to the tropics.

Woman Charged With Defrauding By Mailed Orders
A Black woman from Hurricane Baldwin County was brought to Mobile by federal authorities on a mails fraud charge. She appeared before Commissioner Austin and was bound over to the grand jury on a $500 bond. Prosecutors alleged she wrote a letter to a mail order house claiming she sent money for articles. The woman denied the charge.

Upshire Moore Fined $26 for Speeding on Broad Street
In recorder's court Upshire Moore, a black man, was fined 26 dollars for speeding after Officer Robert Brady testified Moore drove 50 to 60 miles per hour on Broad Street. Moore argued he did not know the pursuing officer was an officer.
