Pleads Guilty in Illicit Still Possession Case
Albert Connors of 167 St Medar Street admitted guilt in recorder's court to possessing an illicit still. Detectives Moody and Warren and Officers Quails and Woodcock raided his home finding a five gallon copper still with paraphernalia and 48 gallons of mash poured out. 14 gallons of white whiskey and a jug of wine were seized. Escaped Convicts Re-captured Near Wilmer Alabama

California Vineyard Lands Seized in Federal Action
Federal officers began seizing vineyard properties valued at $2,000,000 owned by the Theodore Gier Vineyard Company of Oakland. Oldest Confederate Dies in New Orleans at 92
