Police report no clues after a weekend burglary at the Gulf Coast Linen Supply Company on St. Francis street. Thieves forced a door on Lawrence Street, battered the safe with a heavy hammer, and stole 71 dollars in cash before dawn.
City Commissioner Cecil Bates said discussions on a legislative program for the city would occur this weekend with the local delegation before they return to the state capital. Bates had just returned from Montgomery and indicated a meeting was likely.
