Tug Slightly Damaged by Fire at St Francis Street
The tug Protector of the Mississippi Warrior river barge line suffered slight damage from a fire Sunday afternoon at 4 15 while berthed at the foot of St Francis street. Old rope on top of the boilers ignited and set the cabin woodwork on fire per police. The toss is covered by insurance. The fire department answered three small fire calls that day.
