Angus Marshall general manager of Todd Shipbuilding Company reported to the sheriff the loss of a new Hudson automobile. The car was left on Pine street near Dauphin at 1 oclock this morning and missing by 7 oclock, according to the report.
Shank McClelland, sent to the confinement camp to serve eighteen deaths for grand larceny, escaped from a work car at Dog River yesterday afternoon but was recaptured by convict guards after an hour away. Hagan, a Black man living near the camp, was arrested and charged with aiding the escape for furnishing clothes after the escape.

W. H. Binkley, licensed grain inspector, has arrived in Mobile to inspect all grain arriving under the federal grain standards act. He replaces outside inspectors and will issue certificates in the name of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Palestine Texas May 2 H Sinclair oil multimillionaire and Sinclair Oil Company chairman raced across the continent to reach his six year old son ill in New York. He traveled by a special car attached to a crack International Great Northern train from Mexico City where word of the illness came. He left San Antonio at 8 30 last night and will pass St Louis Wednesday morning per schedule.
Paris May 2 The American debt funding commission informed the French government it will welcome observations on its offer regarding interest payments on French debt to the United States and the amortization of principal. The matter will go to the minister of finance for cabinet review.
