Pair Found Slain in Telford Area
In Telford Tennessee on May 1 195? Mat Garvin 52 a state master and former deputy sheriff of Washington County and his wife were found dead at their home two miles south of town. Their five year old son Paul was critically wounded and died later at a Johnson City hospital. Coroner J I Hawkins called it a plain case of murder and death by their own action. A note signed Dad expressing despair was found in the house addressed to Flora Garvin a daughter from a previous marriage.
