Memphis Tennessee May 1 Investigation by railway officials began into a wreck on the Nashville Chattanooga and St Louis Railroad that occurred early Sunday morning in the city heart and caused three deaths and two injuries. Engineer E Ballard of Lexington Tennessee and Robert G C Albright of Memphis engine foreman were crushed when the freight engine overturned on a viaduct. Fireman James Simpson of Memphis died a few hours later. Y Richardson helper on the engine and RE D Nagle switch man were injured. The train is thought to have hit an open switch.
