Four men killed in a crash of a Standard Air Line plane in San Gorgonio Pass near Beaumont California. Victims include pilot Delbert R. Everett and business figures A R L Balke George Nico and T J Kelley.
In Washington on March 30, General Escobar of the Mexican revolutionists accuses American Ambassador Morrow in Mexico City of invading Mexican jurisdiction and acting as a propaganda agent. Ugarte, head of the revolutionists mission, is to relay the declaration to the State Department and the president. U.S. officials say they will not receive any rebel representative and note Morrow has long been involved in nonbelligerent diplomacy.
Several parolees with federal sentences are set for trial as federal court opens Monday. New charges were added to the docket and cases against Pmot Levene Murray Ward Gebhardt and Mrs Beulah Olsen were recently filed while on parole for prior violations. Evidence from these cases may mirror that used in parole revocation hearings.

Oklahoma City March 30 Chief Justice Charles W Mason of the state supreme court and five other justices face suspension by votes ranging 28 to 7 and 28 to 6. Trials are scheduled after the suspensions and the senate debates whether vacancies should be filled during the interim.
Charles S. Taylor, a 54 year old barber, was sentenced to die in the electric chair for the brutal murder of his wife Irene Meath Taylor. He confessed to beating her to death and placing her body in a trunk, where it remained for eight days, with judgment set for May 29 in Nashville.

Albany Kentucky March 30 An indictment of William Cummings 65 for murder of Frank Burchett 73 a Wago farmer was dismissed in circuit court. Civil action over 25000 in Burchett estate by his first wife’s children against widow Dora Burchett and her infant son proceeds to trial next Wednesday. Burchett died in 1926 amid poisoning hints and co defendants included the widow her parents Cass and Mrs Lawrence and farm hand Cummings.
Plans for a state aid school at Grand Bay are being modified to meet requirements. W. C. Griggs, superintendent of education, said Mobile authorities will approve the plans with the Mobile board and the state department. Bids will be called and construction started so the school can operate next fall.
Dr. Max Meyer was unanimously elected president of the Southern Society of Philosophy and Psychology at its annual session held at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Meyer had been temporarily relieved from active duty at the University of Missouri after a sex questionnaire distribution.
Police and federal investigators pursued a probe after A Michaelson faced charges in a dry law violation. A U S deputy set bond at $2 pending a hearing on potential removal to Florida for formal processing.
Chicago congressman M Alfred surrendered to federal authorities as deputy marshals prepared to arrest him on a Florida indictment. The case centers on liquor allegedly brought into the United States in early 1928 through Key West and seized in Jacksonville after trunks leaked. A wild buffalo, dozens of cowboys, horses and a detective squad chased it through Chicago streets and into a county hospital. It charged a white-coated physician, knocked the doctor over, then bolted to a picture store and charged through a plate glass window. The chase ended with the animal smashing the display of The Stag at Bay.
A northern Mobile County observation reports Mobile River and creeks still above normal levels with Bayou Sera overflow causing fish losses. The flood relief effort includes Alabama Game Warden Le Tinh and advisers noting widespread damage to fisheries and disrupted fish spawn.
Frank Young of Mertz station was arrested at daylight in the cabbage field of E. G. Farnell on Cottage Hill road by County Constable W. P. Williams. Young is in custody on a charge of petit larceny after being found with beets, carrots and cabbage. Farnell reports two months of systematic vegetable theft and claims losses of hundreds of dollars for the winter.
Ashbel Hubbard, mobile business man and sportsman, died yesterday. His funeral was held at 1060 Government street and Dauphin Way Methodist church with Rev. W M Lantrip officiating. A large Per Civale Lodge 102 Knights of Pythias delegation attended.
The police department at a recent meeting announced a June outing and picnic at Monroe Park to raise funds for the department uniform fund. Detective Robert E. Holmes was named general chairman with authority to appoint a committee and set the date.
Preparations by the Old Spanish Trail reception committee await the motor party Sunday. A Mobile delegation will meet the motorcade on the Mississippi coast and escort it to Mobile for an informal reception and buffet at the Battle House hosted by the Mobile Chamber of Commerce. Palmer Pillans is general chairman with a long reception committee listed.
The river packet Josie under Captain Ed Phillips returned last night after leaving Wednesday with food for Choctaw Bluff marooned residents. He reported to City Commissioner Leon Schwarz that 46 people received provisions on the upstream trip from Cut-Off to the Battle, which will also supply on the down trip.
