A 66 foot section of wharf at Turner Terminal Company on the river collapsed while a L. and N. switching crew rearranged freight cars. TR Bob Farrell was slightly hurt and others narrowly escaped injury as ballast from a tanker toppled into the water. The dock damage affected wharves only. the warehouse area remained unaffected. Police investigated the cause, with weight of the cars suspected.

Mrs Holmes Dies Suddenly After Heart Attack
Charlotte Burnham Holmes 65 a Mobile resident for nearly 20 years died suddenly at her home 103 Springhill avenue after a morning heart attack. She retired overnight healthy and died before medical aid arrived. Survived by one son Sergeant Robert Holmes of the police department, four daughters, nine grandchildren, and other relatives.

Liquor Found Aboard Dominican Steamer Sagua
Custom officers seized two bottles of whiskey last night on the Dominican steamer Sagua which docked in port. One bottle was found in the mess room and the other on the deck as the vessel arrived flying the Dominican flag.
