Washington March 23 Mrs Faret Buchanan former secretary Rep Kendall of Pennsylvania was sentenced to three years imprisonment in the District of Columbia supreme court today on a forgery conviction.

New York March 28 cotton futures opened steady with May at 24.88 cents per pound, July at 25.14, October 24.47, December 24.49, and July contracts at 24.30.

A fire at the White stables in Orlando, Florida, destroyed one stall frame building housing ten horses. Six winter training horses died, three were saved, with losses estimated at about $106,000. Among the victims were five year old Aetna and a two year old colt belonging to F L Parrin of Cincinnati, each valued near $7,000.
