Criminal dockets at federal court show L Donaghue former Jane George linked to a conspiracy in a liquor exposure case from four years ago. Donaghue’s trial is set for Monday April 9 with hearings on injunctions and civil matters proceeding the same week.
J R Ramsey of Gratiot Wisconsin testified in a deposition about Klan operations in Ohio and Indiana. He described joining in Springfield Ohio and claimed Night Riders of Ohio is an organization of Klansmen. Ramsey identified figures at a state meeting near Bainbridge Lake in 1925 and noted Ohio National Guardsmen wearing Klan uniforms at a parade.
Atlanta March 26. Two persons were killed and others injured by a series of violent storms and lightning. Heavy rainfall accompanied the strikes as homes in Columbus were hit and injuries reported at several points.
The home of J. P. Colvin at 354 Re ma street was robbed Saturday night with $7 stolen. A rear screen door was damaged, and a grand larceny charge was noted. Fears arose that $26 could be missing from Rev. Riley of Big Zion Church on Church streets after a thief entered the church and forced open a cabinet safe.
Two Italian residents, Egidio Sebastio and James through Mobile, were arrested in Port Arthur while aboard the Italian steamship Fulgor en route from Galveston to New York. Immigration officials detain them in the county jail awaiting deportation after boarding the ship at Galveston.

In St Louis area March 26 Heinemann an 80 year old man is hunted as a friend in the murder of Frank Hammerle 55 found with a sack over the head feet bound by cord. Police found a binding cord similar to the one used on Hammerle at Heinemann s home where Hammerle lived after the elder s wife died. Motive believed robbery as both men usually carried money though Hammerle only had 41 cents in his pockets when killed.
In Providence Rhode Island March 26 buglers sounded taps as the bodies of John L Stevens were laid to rest in Oakland Mausoleum. Representatives paid final honors to the victims of the crash.
