Veteran Cannon officer injured in chase on Kennedy Street
A state prohibition officer nicknamed Cannon was seriously injured when a pursuit of a liquor car on Kennedy Street near Davis Avenue ended with his vehicle hitting a road obstruction. He suffered a fractured vertebra and was treated at Providence infirmary after initial care at City hospital.
