New Orleans inspectors recovered morphine and gum opium valued over 100 000 during a raid on the steamship Einfeld. Fifty one two ounce morphine bottles and twenty four salvarsan bottles were seized along with ivory lavalieres and 1000 rounds of dum-dum cartridges hidden behind pictures in a stateroom.
