Ruby Lee Knight aged 6 died from burns suffered last night while playing with matches. The child had retired to her bedroom and, when found by her parents awakened by her screams, her clothes were on fire.
City faces possible action over a $60,000 increase in Mobile Electric Company revenue after a Public Service Commission ruling. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning from Captain John Dorgan’s residence.

In Macon Georgia on March 14 sixty four railroad and express workers were brought to trial in U S district court charged with conspiring to defraud American Railway Express. Judge Beverly D Evans presided. The defendants allegedly stole over 1 million dollars in express shipments. Trial expected to last three to four weeks.
Publishers of daily newspapers in Binghamton plan to resume regular editions tomorrow under open shop terms after a nearly weeklong printer strike. Pickets surrounded the plants as labor leaders organized. The chamber of commerce convened a meeting of business men to assess effects on retail advertising.

In New Orleans on March 14 police said three men died early Sunday when a motorboat carrying eight men capsized after midnight. Survivors said crowding on one side caused the turn. bodies of William B. Mann of Boston, John Hurley of Medford, and Nestor Hill of Finland remained unrecovered.

In Ardmore Oklahoma on March 1 four of the state's chief witnesses may be called to finish the testimony. They include Jacob L. Hamon widow Clara Hamon and Attorney General Freeling. The prosecution expects the case to reach the jury by late Thursday or Friday if time remains. The defense had waived opening and will present its case after the state rests.

Washington reported a clouded consular situation at Fiume as of March 14.
