Point Clear Suspect Flees from Baldwin County
A Negro known as Point Clear Tom, wanted on three assault to murder charges, fled Baldwin County to Mobile County last Wednesday. He was tracked to Mobile by A Mills camp boss of a turpentine field. The chase ended without capture after he fled a Mobile search on South Water Street. He allegedly shot at bystanders and took a Winchester rifle, then escaped by auto toward Daphne. Mills says the suspect fled to an Eastern Shore boat and into Mobile.
