An L and N freight train collided with a Bay Shore passenger coach near Theodore injuring eleven. Portage officials blamed signaling failures and improper observation by the engineer. Witnesses describe passengers pinned in wreckage as the coach split in two and rolled into marshland.
Police in Hoboken and New York arrested German reservist Kolb who planned to send explosives to the president. Detectives traced the suspect after discovering he had been followed by authorities and found he had explosives in a hotel.

Dipping of cattle resumes in Mobile county this morning under Dr. L. B. Ern in charge amid new livestock groups. Officials say the anticattle disease effort is nearing completion despite opposition, and local cattle owners show interest in the program.
In Interest County the cattlemen continue work across the community with efforts tied to forming livestock associations. Nine public dipping vats and one private vat are under construction. Dr. Ernest notes vats are cleaned and refilled with water after each dipping to inform the public about sanitation methods.

A cablegram from Bluefields Nicaragua reports the destruction by fire at sea of the Nic araguan schooner Oscar G. Captain J W Hunter commanded the vessel, a 3 ton ship built in 1892, with 128.8 feet length, 38 feet beam and 10 feet depth, carrying a crew of seven.

The Central American court of justice ruled in favor of Salvador in the claim that Salvador’s ser te was infringed by the United States over the vacated naval base area in Fonseca Bay. The decision upheld Salvador’s territorial rights in the disputed zone as of March 5.
A blaze at Neapolia near Toledo on Sunday cremated one man and seriously burned another man and a woman. The fire destroyed a combination store and dwelling house.
Mrs. Aleia Van Epps, 30, and her two children Everitt 6 and Wilbur 3 months died in a house fire that destroyed their Lansing home early Sunday authorities said. Fire investigators looked into the blaze as a deadly tragedy in a residential district.
