Mrs. O. F. Henderson known as Mrs. Minnie Harrison lay dying at City Hospital from poisoning attributed to marijuana tea administered by E. V. Merrill of 606 South Jefferson. Merrill was jailed as detectives investigate the incident. Henderson had been living at 117 12 Beauregard Street after moving from Fruitdale Alabama.

Drownings Follow Sand Dredge Boat Mishap on Lake Erie
Fifteen crew members of the Thomas J. Whelen, a sand dredging boat from Sandusky, died when the vessel capsized off Dunkirk New York.
