The Fruit Dispatch Company and United Fruit Company report crews fully supplied after negotiations. Three Dispatch steamers tied up due to marine workforce strikes will sail, with Mount Vernon restored as the sole United Fruit ship active in Mobile.
Walter Bishop faces murder charges in the lynching of Frank Foukal in Bay Minette. The trial includes 12 jurors with witnesses recounting the jail mob and Bishop’s remarks about pleading guilty. Prosecution and defense witnesses testified, and the case was expected to go to the jury that afternoon.
President Wilson holds White House discussions with Republican leaders over the peace treaty and the League covenant. R. L. Maupin a longtime Mobile stockyard operator and partner in Maupin & Co. died at his West Point Mississippi home this morning. He came to Mobile in 1878 and later moved to West Point in 1910. Survived by his widow Miss Annie Tayloe of Gallion and four daughters. Funeral arrangements to be announced.
Tallon residing at 458 South Wall Street paid 35 dollars for creating a disturbance at a Dearborn house to hear Augusta yesterday afternoon. Jon faced drunk and disorderly charges with fines set after officers described a noisy scene drawing a crowd.
Steam tug Clio and steamer Volcano each tow four timber barges and travel toward Mobile. James R. Hagan of the Warrior system notes two steamers were seen near Osa today with Clio delivering timber pieces and Volcano carrying a like load.

Adams was charged with violating the liquor law for possessing bottles of whiskey. He was fined $101 and costs of fifty days' labor, to be paid after trial in the inferior court on Thursday.

He allegedly shot Captain D A Reicher three times and fired at mate A Guestafeon aboard the four master Jean L Somerville off Martinique last April. Cuellar escaped the ship, but was later captured near Martinique and brought to trial.
A Mobile delegation returning from Montgomery told the Alabama senate committee on municipal legislation that Mobile citizens favor a referendum on changing the city government from a ten member commission to a smaller number, preferably five, while not opposing the bill’s merits. The committee postponed action for one week to study the proposal, with the outcome contingent on a public vote.
