Preliminary hearing set for Jack Goldstein in narcotics case
Jack Goldstein alias Jack Goldstein is due for a preliminary hearing this afternoon at 3 30 at the federal building on charges under the federal narcotic act. He was arrested Saturday by city detectives and was served with a federal warrant after federal agents investigated his alleged theft of 285 dollars from Mrs. R Z Williams of Montgomery. Mrs Williams was later held for investigation while Goldstein and his wife were detained at Louisville and Nashville station. Dope found in his belongings links him to narcotics activity as he claimed to be an informer who obtained prescriptions or drugs from pedlars and passed information to government agents. Agent Skelly of the Department of Justice arranged the docketing at the county jail for violating the Harrison narcotic act.

Grieved parents of Ollie Browder a 19 year old Prichard youth who left home planning to go to Louisiana are anxious for his return and will forgive him if he comes back as they believe he is somewhere in Mobile. Mrs Adline Browder his mother wrote the police today asking assistance. Browder has been gone more than three months since April 1. He is five feet six inches tall with sandy hair blue eyes and two scars on his lip.
