Four men and a woman are held at the county jail after a shooting that wounded Shep Tanner near Seven Is last night. Robert Medel is being hunted in a swamp area in the county as the prime suspect. Tanner was shot in the forehead with a rifle bullet and is stated not to be in danger.
The Knights of Columbus team travels by auto to play Pascagoula Sunday in their second meeting of the year. They beat Pascagoula 5 2 earlier. Riders include Watson Gerald Leo Chapman Calametti Walshmith McDermott Lawler Schriner. Gerald or Schriner to pitch with Happy Smith catching.

Ruth Bush sells to William Nesbitt property at Adams and Magnolia for 20000. Earl Geston and wife buy from W A Pollard Lot 93 in Dauphin Place for 3000.
New York July 11 The government of Ecuador has been overthrown and a military regime installed under General Francisco Gomez de La Torre. Civil authorities are imprisoned including President Gonzales Cordova and Foreign Minister A B Larrea. Guayaquil and Quito garrisons back the move forming a military junta to govern pending a new civil order.
The Mississippi railroad commission orders the Mobile and Ohio railway to reinstate passenger trains Numbers 5 and 6 between Union Tennessee and Meridian Mississippi by July 26. A $50 daily fine is set for each day after July 26 if trains are not operated. The two trains were discontinued on June 6 without consent.
London July 11 The general council of the Trade Union Congress endorsed the miners federation refusal to meet mine owners until owners withdraw proposals for lower wages and a longer working day. The congress pledged assistance to the miners in every way.
Paris July 11 Finance Minister Caillaux loses a close vote in the chamber of deputies 261 to 263 against his opposition to repealing the tax on business turnovers.
KinHKie Wagner, the kin of a recent killing suspect, and six other prisoners escaped Blountville county jail after an assault on guards. A large posse from Kingsport and Bristol chased them into the mountains while Johnson City bloodhounds were to track Wagner. Authorities warn the group, armed with pistols and ammunition, may be considered dangerous as search continues.
Brussels July 11 Theunis longtime Belgian premier has not decided whether to join the Washington mission to settle the Belgian debt. He spoke with Albert Janssen the finance minister who urged his participation, but Theunis is not enthusiastic and disagrees with policies since he left office.
