Quilla Williams and Leo Richardson alias Junk will be arraigned in the circuit court Thursday on the charge of murder in the first degree. Williams was indicted by the last grand jury for killing Milton Osborne by shooting him to death in the latter part of May on Cedar Street near Montgomery. Osborne saw Williams under a tree with a shotgun at about 10 o clock at night and in company.
Rio de Janeiro July 11 reports that the destroyer Matto has located an enemy submarine base near Santos Brazil. The finding marks a potential shift in naval operations along the Brazilian coast during wartime.

A Daphne Alabama man named seven knife wounds was inflicted by his brother Stapleton after a Sunday morning quarrel over ashes from a stove. The injured man was rushed to Mobile on the steamer Daphne and is reported resting well at the infirmary.
The Prince Udine praised the U S reception in Bordeaux as a sign of allied unity. He said he wishes to return to command of his torpedo boat destroyer and stressed the need for heartfelt talks among the allies and close collaboration with France and Italy to sustain the common cause.
