Gus Burden 40, of 1210 Elmira street, was killed early today when struck by a switch engine on a Louisville & Nashville line near Beauregard and Commerce. Engine No. 20 backed as he crossed the track. Coroner Dr. Stephen Hale said the body was removed after jacking the engine. His death leaves a wife as survivor.
