Funeral service for Draughon to be announced later
The body of Draughon is due in the afternoon. The funeral hour will be announced by Rowe mortuary. A lifelong Marion resident, he rose from bank messenger in 1917 to holding many bank positions. He was active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce and is survived by his wife Francis Miller Draughon and family.

Seven people were injured in two separate crashes in Mobile and nearby. Mrs A T Davis of New Orleans and a baby child of Mr and Mrs E L Engram were hurt in a collision at Broad and St Anthony streets while Walter Pooley Watson suffered a broken leg. Judge A W Hargett, federal officer, was cut on the chin in a crash involving a car driven by E L Engram and another car driven by A J Bragnac on Elmira Street. Nine inmates overpowered the night jailer at DeKalb county jail in Fort Payne Alabama then fled after a ten o'clock incident. The jail doors were left open today as Sheriff L J Campbell organized a posse to recapture them.
