Mrs Theresa Daughtry of Dauphin Street suffered serious burns when kerosene ignited her clothes as she tried to start a fire in a wood stove. She was taken to City Hospital in serious condition. The month has seen several fatal kerosene fire incidents including Miss Effie Matthews, a stenographer at Adams Motor Co. and others in the city. Matthews funeral is scheduled for 3:30 pm at Mrs Alvin Wingfield's home, with burial at Whistler cemetery.
