Grand Jury Hears Witnesses in Brantley Bow Killing
The circuit court grand jury convened to investigate the killing of Melvin Brantley a 17 year old boy. Leon Layfield is held in jail without bail as the last person seen with Brantley who disappeared November 24 after pay at Leric Turpentine Cup factory. Brantley’s body was found December 4 in Mobile River marsh with eight rifle wounds. Relatives from Evergreen attended the proceedings. Fines in Fire Truck Collisions Are Imposed
