Detroit man faces false pretenses charge in circuit court
Carl B. Seay aged 21 from Detroit is held under $500 bond in the circuit court on a count of obtaining $50 by false pretences. Irving Vick, 20, also of Detroit, is held under $250 bond as a material witness. Eugene Auter, manager of the Postal Telegraph Co, swore Seay posed as Vick to take the money. Vick initially refused to testify but later complied. Seay denied the accusation, Auter stuck to his testimony, and the court bound Seay over.
