Ducktown Tennessee January 7 officers today were seeking the murderers of Len and Syd Jones brothers in law whose bodies were found on Stanbury mountain last night by searching parties. Both shot with shotgun bullets. The men left Ducktown for home last Monday and never reached there. Searching parties were organized yesterday and the bodies found last night. It is believed they were shot from ambush and their bodies carried to the mountain top.
Mayor Alan Kelly of South Pittsburg named William Wilkerson of Chattanooga as chief of police to replace the late James Conner, killed in the Christmas night street battle between city and county officers. Wilkerson, a Georgia native, has resided in Chattanooga for several years.

A Willys Knight touring car was sald to have been ased early this morning on St M street. Abraham Tabb, a negro, was docketed on a charge of violating the prohibition law. Deputy Sheriffs Faulk and McFayden and Federal Officer Ford made the arrest. The officers report that Tabb had a quart bottle of whiskey in the car.
