Ray Hill of Mobile was arrested in Jackson Tennessee on a grand larceny charge tied to a car theft. He waived extradi tion and will be sent back to Mobile to face trial. police say the car was recovered in Jackson. Hill's wife is named as the complainant.
The committee to organize an annual welfare affair for the coming year includes Mayor Cecil F. Bates and nine other city men. The event on January 23 promises dancing music and several feature acts to be announced later. The chapter has held similar successful gatherings in past years.
