Amber Abe Fined For Prohibition Violations In Court
Amber Abe and Ery Browning and Brooks Mur Tray, both ages 64 and 66, pleaded guilty to liquor possession in Police court and were fined 100 or 90 days. Albert Roberts caretaker for the Strikers' society hall on Saint Francis Street was fined 50 days or $50 for violating prohibition. Police found several quarts of liquor at the hall after officers visited early Tuesday morning. The court ordered the liquor destroyed immediately. The judge said Roberts was not shown to be responsible for the liquor. Hogan testified owners could not be identified.

Two Men Fined for Prohi Violation in Inferior Court

Jim Colvin, 68, of Plateau, faced an assault with intent to murder charge involving his wife Cattie Colvin and was held to the circuit court on 590 dollars bond after a trial in inferior court. A knife assault charge was dismissed. The incident reportedly occurred Christmas Eve near the Colvin home.
