Meanwhile burglaries were reported at Albright and Wood Broad and Charleston streets with small loot including 90 cents and vanity items A middle aged white woman lost a purse at Cedar and Government streets to two young white boys who also used R W Jones car from Joachim and Conti streets They could not start the car and abandoned it The stolen car was recovered by police and returned to the owner No name or amount given for the purse loss Detectives are pursuing several young boys on gasoline theft from parked cars Friday afternoon two boys siphoned gas from a car owned by C M Ward a Murphy high school instructor

Burglary Charges Against Mack and Nettles Set for Court
John Henry Mack of 911 State Street and Lewis Nettles of 113 North Warren Street were charged with burglary and arraigned after Friday night arrests by Detective Robert Holmes and Officers Sam Hyland and Dick Lincoln. They allegedly burglarized J Brook store on Dauphin and Dearborn streets, stealing cigarettes and other items. An automatic shotgun and about $20 were recovered from Mrs. Lee Lasker’s home at 411 St Francis Street. Court date set for December 16.
