James Gray of Theodore Alabama was bound over to the next grand jury on a five hundred dollar bond after pleading guilty to passing two forged checks. He claimed another man named Robert Evans in Jackson Mississippi forged the instruments and bills of lading at Gray’s Wheelerville home. The Hamilton check was for 350 dollars and another for 37.50 dollars. Prosecutor Courtney said additional forged instruments would be investigated by the grand jury.
