Memorial to a Victim of a City Car Crash

The report details a fatal automobile crash injuring several people on Government and Bayou streets. Grand Jury to Set 3-Week U S Court Term Early Next Week

United States District Attorney Alex C. Birch says the federal court term will open next Tuesday with a grand jury session continuing about three weeks. Bad Check Artist Murphy Detained for Trial

E. G. Murphy of Birmingham, a nationally known bad check operator, was arrested here after attempting to pass a check at the First National Bank of Mobile. He left the city at night in custody of Memphis detectives en route to answer charges in Mobile and is also wanted in Atlanta Fort Worth New Orleans San Antonio and other cities under multiple aliases.

Eddie's Home Found After Citywide Search

Four year old Eddie Garton wearing a white suit was found wandering in the Louisville and Nashville yard. A passing trainman restrained him and notified juvenile court authorities who coordinated with police and deputies to locate his family. Mr and Mrs Garton were later reunited with Eddie after a citywide search proved inconclusive.

Roche Funeral Arrangements Announced This Afternoon
